Azamor 523, Villa Fiorito, Buenos Aires.
Maradona’s childhood home.

“The mere existence of Diego Armando Maradona is a miracle in itself. He grew up in Villa Fiorito, a slum in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, which was built by migrants from other countries and from Argentina itself. He was born destined for mud, like so many other people who come to this world submerged in the deepest social inequality.”
Extract from the article “From Mud to Immortality” by Nicolas Ziccardi.

This year I started to work on a new long-term project looking at the Legacy of Maradona’s figure in Argentina. The proceeds from the sale of this print will go towards the development of this project.
